  • When you’re in college, the most important thing on your mind is graduating with great grades.

After all, you want to get a great job and create a great life for yourself.

However, when you’re in the trenches of late-night study sessions and long lectures, you still have to consider the fact that you need to eat.

Consider some of the easy meals you can create as a busy college student.

    1. Pasta Salad

A pasta salad is a perfect dish to make you feel like you’re getting the best of both worlds. It’s a delicious nod to the decadent comfort food as well as the healthy addition of fresh vegetables and other flavorful ingredients.

If you make a pasta salad at the start of the week, it stays fresh and cold in the refrigerator. Typically, most people love to eat pasta salad cold.

In addition to preparing elbow macaroni, rotini, or another pasta noodle, boil a few hard-boiled eggs. Allow the eggs to cool down completely. Then, in a large bowl, add chopped hard-boiled eggs and other vegetables together like tomatoes, spinach, and cucumber.

To make the dish feel heartier, add protein options like crispy chickpeas and grilled chicken breast. Make your own dressing with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and seasonings.

You can also opt to add tomato pesto or Italian dressing to make a quick meal even quicker.

Add chopped red onions, olives, and feta cheese to take the flavor to the next level. Create portions that are easy to grab as you head out the door during the school day.

    2. Smoothie

A meal replacement smoothie is an excellent option when you’re looking to quickly get a major dose of nutrition while you’re on the go.

By using allmax meal prep powder along with your choice of healthy produce, you can prepare the smoothie while you’re at home.

If you’re in a rush, you can shake up the ingredients in the container when you’re ready to slow down and consume it. Getting your nutrients from fresh, whole foods is important. When you can achieve optimal nutrition by incorporating protein powders and smoothie mixes, take advantage of that healthy hack.

    3. Sandwiches

Sandwiches are easy to customize and satisfy you. They’re not just for children. Use various spreads to make your sandwiches better.

Replace mayonnaise with guacamole, tomato pesto, or mustard. Replace lettuce with arugula. Fry a mix of mushrooms, garlic, and onions to create a layer of goodness on your sandwich.

Whether you’re making a tuna fish sandwich or a BLT, you can always toast your bread as well. Wrap the hot sandwich in aluminum foil to keep it hot for as long as possible.

When you need to grab a bite to eat in between classes, you’ll be able to pull a gourmet sandwich out of your bag to eat. Paired with a bag of chips, an apple, and some water, you’ll have a meal that’s equivalent to what’s served in many gourmet sandwich shops.

    4. Pizza

It doesn’t get much easier than a pizza. However, some people might be fearful of making a homemade crust. Instead, purchase store-bought naan, tomato sauce, and your choice of toppings. Within a matter of minutes, you can prepare your pizza and stick it in the toaster oven.

The toppings really make a pizza special. If you don’t have a lot of time to prep, simply add cheese, a few spices in your cabinet and drizzle some oil on top. A simple pizza still has the same delicious effect.

If you opt to prep some of your ingredients in advance, chop up vegetables like onions, garlic, and spinach. If you have interesting oils like white truffle oil or avocado oil, they can make a pizza taste more unique. If you like a white pizza, replace the tomato sauce with alfredo sauce for a decadent take on the classic dish.

You might not have all the time in the world to make a delicious Sunday dinner that will last the entire week. However, when you’re in school, it’s best to focus on your studies.

With these four meals, you can easily enjoy tasty meals without sacrificing nutrition. When you’re able to get the best of both worlds, it’ll become easier to build on this foundation in order to create great meals on the go.
